Bio

Once known as the Fourth Doctor (also: the third, second, first...), The Fifth Doctor is introduced to the world with a rather rough regeneration. Unlike his past regenerations, his most recent nearly completely backfired, making his concentration levels severly low (unless in the Zero Room) and his body vulnerable.

It is with the help of his companions Nyssa and Tegan (Adric being held captive by the Master) that he is taken to Castrovalva (a primitive place with no technology, if any) to heal and finish regenerating completely and healthily. Well, once he's managed to evade the Master's plot to kill him, of course.

The Fifth Doctor, however calm he might appear about the outside, is actually a realtively nervous person. He strongly dislikes violence and hesitates whenever he is forced to take a situation that might end in violence at hand. Five tends to have a sharp, quick-witted tongue about him, leaving small jokes behind as side, off-handed comments. He is very observant and often uses these jokes to keep things a little more light hearted and to keep his companions, more often than not, from being completely terrified.

He is a very strategic person (even if his strategies aren't always completely worked out until the end) and, especially in pressed times, is looking for ways to protect himself and those he is with.

Other than the adventures, he is actually a gentle, sensitive person. While his ego and pride alike will not allow him to show this, he does enjoy a good cuppa, a riveting game of cricket or two and a decent conversation. One would be able to pick him out of a crowd very easily, for he dresses in a cream colored suit (fit for that of a skilled cricket player!) with a hat to match, and upon the lapel of his coat, he sports a health stick of celery which he claims help detect allergens he is extremely susceptible to.

He has a rather decent relationship with his TARDIS as well. While he often does have troubles and terrible luck with navigating it, the TARDIS does seem to comply to his needs with ease. Early in his regeneration, he is known to place both his team and the TARDIS in several rather questionable situations, yet it still allows him to navigate about time.
